The film silently follows as they rumble past the iconic Wonder Wheel, Thunderbolt, and Parachute Jump, tilling the sand and picking up trash. Through reserved and ghostly cinematography that recalls the structural documentary filmmaking of Chantal Akerman, the viewer experiences the quiet dignity of work that undergirds New York's most famous amusement park. Refusing any dialogue, the soundscape is an ethereal mix of roaring tractors and 'surf rakes' dissolving into the crashing of waves. See less
