"You can't win NASCAR races without getting the science right. NASCAR teams push science to its limits to eke out the tenths or hundredths of a second that separate the winner from the also-ran. This video series uses the elements of NASCAR to show that a race car really is a science experiment on wheels" - NSF. Hosted by University of Texas physics professor Diandra Leslie-Pelecky, author of The Physics of NASCAR: How to Make Steel + Gas + Rubber = Speed. Several NASCAR racing champions including Brian Vickers, Carl Edwards and Jeff Gordon are featured as well as notable crew chiefs, engineers and owners from leading NASCAR teams. See less
