Uncovering the past in the trial against their foster parents leads Catalina and Hilario in very different directions. Whereas Catalina presents herself as a co-plaintiff incriminating her "appropriators", Hilario speaks in defense of the "parents of his heart". Directors Jenny Hellmann und Regina Mennig accompanied Hilaro and Catalina for over two years - in lawsuit against their foster parents, in facing their cruel past, in search for a better future.
