Incorrectly assuming that Steve blabbed to Althea about the overdose, Karen coldly tells Steve that he brought this all on himself by betraying her confidence. She snarls that he can browbeat his new wife from now on. When Steve opines that Karen is running away to Berlin, she retorts that if she is, he can't stop her. Matt and Nick pay a visit to Maggie, who says that her chest hurts. Nick appeals to Matt about intervening in John's case, but Matt is reluctant because Dr. Hendryx is the department head of neurology.
