Each of these Brotos have their own unique Alpona (floor drawing) that goes along with it. While purely decorative Alponas are still commonly seen today, barely one or two of the historical Broto-Alponas - some of which predate even the Vedas, survive today. This film follows a girl from the early 1900s as she movers through life and her brotos (rituals) and alpona drawings that she makes to pray to her Gods and ask for her fulfillment of her desires.
