Stephen will advise the UK team on a closed loop program for a coffee brand and their T-Discs, while Steph will learn the ins and outs of public collections to help inform its future launch in the U.S. Once in London, Steph heads to a local supermarket that serves as a public collection location for Terracycle UK, where she meets with volunteers who are an integral part of the public program. Back in the UK office, Stephen learns that the manufacturer is hesitant to use the recycled T-Disc plastic because the aluminum content might hurt their machines. Stephen sends the manufacturer vital information to prove the aluminum will have no effect on the manufacturer's machines. After a successful call, and some great convincing from Stephen, the manufacturer agrees to make a sample from the T-Disc plastic waste, which is critical for the meeting with the coffee brand. Meanwhile in Trenton, the office is disrupted when the Internet stops working. As a temporary solution to the problem, the TC team secretly relocates to Tom's house, where they find working Internet and comfortable surroundings. Rhandi, Dan and Tom (from London) have a call to discuss a presentation deck they've made about the public collection program. Tom approves the deck, but questions their whereabouts when he hears Tia barking in the background. Stephen's nervous about his meeting to present the T-Disc plan with the coffee brand, but the meeting goes smoothly, and the coffee brand is excited to move forward with the closed loop program. Steph completes her research on UK public collections and is hopeful she can bring her new knowledge back to the US. With their time in London coming to a close, Tom, Stephen, Steph, and the UK team meet to discuss their successes from the past few days. Tom is pleased with everyone's hard work and gives Stephen and Steph the afternoon off to do some sightseeing. See less
