Through the actions of his group, roughly one-third of the region's draft capacity was permanently disrupted, saving hundreds of thousands of young people from being sent to war. His story is intercut with the voices of those who were sent to Vietnam. Veterans reflect on their generation - how they were taken at the very start of their lives, returned broken, and left to fend for themselves without support. When they came home, they found themselves fighting a different battle: to have PTSD recognized as a real and urgent consequence of war. See less
