She also takes the opportunity to question Dr. Carey about mental illnesses and their causes. Brian willingly talks about mercury poisoning, a disease doctors usually fail to diagnose because the symptoms are exactly the same as those of a psychosis. With Spectra Fashions on the verge of bankruptcy, Macy fills Darla in on her plan to save the family business. She wants to hire Clarke Garrison, Sally's ex and C.J.'s father, as the new designer. Darla considers this a bad move because the man has hurt Sally too badly. Over at Forrester Creations, Sally takes a last minute effort to keep her legacy alive and offers Eric to sell her company to him. Despite his sympathies for her, Eric turns Sally down. Stephanie consults with family lawyer Jonathan Young. He is stunned to hear that Eric is the biological father of Bridget.
