Through images, sounds, and fragments of everyday life, the film depicts a suspended time in which the intimate and solitary act of writing transforms into a choral process, made up of presences, listening, repeated gestures, waits, and silences. The story is intertwined with that of the land and the people who inhabit it: rooms, objects, and places that preserve traces and memories, and which during the residency become an integral part of the work. The music is born from the dialogue between artists, the community, and the human landscape, leaving traces that linger on the places and people even when the "party" is over and everything returns to normal. "The Remains of the Party" is a film about creation as a shared and intimate experience, about the bonds formed in artistic work, and about the traces of life truly lived: a sound or a line that echoes in the mind, a space that continues to vibrate with the voices of those who inhabited it, a town that resumes its daily life while carrying with it what has happened.
