One day, while fishing, an asteroid flies over him, but he ignores it. On his way home, strange, fast animals start running past him, startling him. He is hit on the head and loses consciousness. He wakes up with the doors and windows boarded up and locked. He has a serious head wound and suffers from amnesia. In the cabin he finds a radio and an audio diary that helps him recall parts of his past as a stockbroker who neglected his family. He tries to contact other people, but with no success. His friend, Mike, contacts him on the radio, promising help, but he is also having difficulties. Jack realizes that he will not receive help and decides to head towards the city. The city is empty and Jack finds an audio message urging people to take shelter in government bunkers due to an alien threat. Jack finds medicine and heads to the bunkers, night falls and the monsters appear. He hides in the police station and contacts a mother and child - Helena and Luchia, who are lost. He promises them help and gives them instructions on how to survive. See less
