Her life takes a sudden turn when a man in a Santa suit crashes onto her car while fleeing violent debt collectors. With nothing to lose and desperate for cash, she agrees to help him escape only to be pulled into a dangerous scheme far beyond her world. The man leads her to his nephew, a disgraced former low level investment banker manipulating the stock market using insider knowledge. As a small company's shares begin to skyrocket, the young woman is stunned to see life changing sums of money appear on screens in a matter of hours. For the first time, the system that has kept her trapped seems beatable. The banker raised the initial investment by borrowing from some unsavory locals, upon realizing just how lucrative the situation could be. Those same people quickly decide they want a higher cut of the profits and are prepared to do anything to get it, just as the stock prices fall. The young woman herself becomes a target by association, caught between the harsh realities of gig-economy London and the seductive illusion of easy money, she must decide how far she's willing to go to escape a life of struggle before the market crashes and the violence closes in.
