Yet the National Grid propose to construct the largest electricity converter station in Europe on the marshland, which would completely destroy the habitat. Witness marsh harriers hunting, great crested grebes dancing and beavers swimming on the marshland, all at threat of having their homes wrecked if the converter station goes ahead. The converter's cable will go out to sea through Pegwell Bay, a National Nature Reserve and SSSI. Kent's largest seal colony lives there; they would be disrupted by the construction. Meet the many people working tirelessly to stop the converter station going ahead, like George Cooper and Sir Roger Gale.
