It was the trial of one of the heads of the Ministry of Public Security, Adam Humer, and his associates. They are accused of imprisoning, torturing and murdering those who fought against the German and Soviet occupiers, who revealed the truth about the circumstances of the creation of the so-called People's Republic of Poland, and who, already under this new regime, attempted to oppose an enemy that was even more dangerous because it was hidden under the slogans of social justice. The accused Adam Humer represents thousands of torturers, the vast majority of whom were clever enough to disappear, leave the country, change their names and destroy incriminating documents. Humer's victims - the witnesses in this trial - represent tens of thousands of those who were beaten to death and can no longer testify. This makes the voices of those who survived all the more important. Written by Film Polski See less
