When Sofia Galura and Dr. Marc Lindner admit the patient, Alexander's daughter Emilia arrives. In the throes of puberty, she's causing her father not only physical ailments but also emotional distress: While the adopted Emilia is deeply worried about her father, as her mother died unexpectedly of sepsis a year and a half ago, she's also searching for her biological parents. However, she won't get very far without her adoptive father's consent... And Alexander has other things on his mind. Marc Lindner sees this as a good opportunity to hone Sofia's empathy skills and assigns them to Emilia. Can Sofia reach her? Tree surgeon Ferdi Toprak is brought in by ambulance after falling from a tree and fracturing his forearm. Dr. Ben Ahlbeck and Oliver Probst take him under their wing and quickly discover that Ferdi has a special talent for creating chaos. Ferdi's mind is elsewhere: his boyfriend Lenny hasn't contacted him in days. Ferdi is convinced Lenny wants to break up and unwittingly drags Olli into his crisis. It's that time again: Karin is awarding the OR Marathon Award for the most hours spent in the operating room.
