Wisdom points out that mergers and acquisitions are up 41 percent overall globally and 44 percent just in America. He also explains that over the past 125 years the five biggest merger waves ended with a precipitous drop in the market. The conversation concludes with a discussion of Warren Buffet's statement at the latest Berkshire Hathaway meeting that the company is looking for additional acquisitions. Corporate Communications Trainer Jeanne-Marie Grumet joins Sully and Russ for a brief discussion about the importance of solid communications. She explains how people at different levels in corporations have different concerns about their communications. Are problems due to a lack of communication or miscommunication? Before and after Grumet, Sully and Russ share some news, including the latest from Frito-Lay and a study comparing the ability to focus at work by positive and negative people. James Hirsen joins Sullly and Russ to talk about the latest from Hollywood. He relates how Kanye West and President Barak Obama have had an ongoing spat in the media: West criticized Obama for not doing enough, and Obama criticized West for his actions at the MTV Video Music Awards. Hirsen, Sully and Russ go on to talk about the recent influx of immigrant children from Central America and its effect on communities in the U.S. and about the overall immigration policy.
