Despite Ben being there for Nick when his parents can be heard fighting upstairs as the group of young men share a drink, Nick takes it upon himself to make sure he isn't the one who's pain is front and centre. Nick berates of Ben through pressure to drink and smoke too much, and finally, makes an attempt to get in the way of Ben's relationship with his partner.
