Irene decides it's time to move into a retirement...See moreWhen widowed Irene is conned by a con artist using the grandparent scam, she is shocked at herself. Not only is her jewelry gone, she's even given away her husband's wedding ring and watch. Irene decides it's time to move into a retirement home. In doing so, she takes the wind out of her children's sails. What she doesn't consider is that this step could also be a way out of loneliness. Fortunately, the energetic Helene doesn't allow Irene to withdraw into solitude out of shame. Instead, she soon becomes part of Helene's circle of friends, along with Christel and Annemarie. All three are outraged by what has happened to Irene. They all agree that something must be done about the con artist and that the police are not the solution. For Helene, who doesn't believe that one has to give up all sense of adventure once they turn 70, it's clear that she will take matters into her own hands. And since Helene can be extremely convincing, a plan actually emerges, involving a trap, a money courier, and a hearse to pursue the suspects. And one that could prove extremely dangerous for the four, perhaps overly adventurous, people. But there's also Irene's young grandson, Momo, who supports his grandmother in every way.
