But their happiness is not destined to come true: on the same day, Mikhail dies in a car accident, and Mariya loses her child. After the funeral, Mariya finds a letter from a certain Anton at her mother-in-law's, who claims that Mikhail is his father. Mariya goes to another city to find him. Anton grew up in an orphanage, he is already eighteen years old and... he looks a lot like young Mikhail. The guy got involved with a bad crowd and becomes an accomplice in a pogrom at a construction site. To save him from prison, Maria turns to the owner of a construction company, Oleg Fyodorov.
