Highlights include the following: Jimmy Driftwood sings "I Heard the Voice of the People," "What Is the Color of the Soul of Man," "He Had a Long Chain On," and "When There Is Peace," while accompanying himself on either the guitar or the banjo. Bessie Jones, Janie Hunter, and Mabel Hillary sing "Joy in the Land" and are joined by the Sea Island Singers in a performance of "Down in the Mire." The Sea Island Singers perform with no accompaniment other than the rhythm set by their hands and feet. See less
