Suddenly, her influential companion dies, and the woman, who never formalized their relationship, is left practically penniless with an underage son on her hands. But the enterprising Frenchman, shortly before his death, opened a fund with a tidy sum in the name of his adopted son, and since Petya is a minor, only his parents can dispose of the money. Inna is sure that the inheritance is already in her pocket, but a bank representative says that in order to receive the amount, permission from Petya's biological father is required, and the parent must personally come to the bank and sign the document with his own hand. Inna has no idea who exactly is the biological father of the child and returns with Pierre to her native Kansk to search for a relative. According to the fund's charter, she has only two weeks to do this.
