It turns out that the wanted woman, Cordula Ericke, was the victim of a violent crime. The WaPo is now dealing with a cold case from the post-reunification period that has since split an entire village into two deeply hostile camps. Maike and her team must reconcile the two sides in order to solve the case - especially the embittered Martha Siemers, widow of the main suspect at the time, and Ingo Koschwitz, the dead Cordula's hot-tempered ex-boyfriend.
