Growing up in a Dutch, criminal family, with a verbally aggressive father, he vowed to prove himself 'good enough' by becoming a wealthy drug dealer. He succeeded remarkably well, making millions, but at the same time saw his life spiral out of control completely. He did not find the fulfillment he was looking for, but sank deep into addiction instead, before finally hitting rock bottom in a Portuguese prison. It was there that he had an encounter that would turn his life around, an encounter not unlike Paul's, a light shining around him, a voice speaking to him. But the question is, how does conversion change you? Are you a new person all of a sudden? Or do scars from the past and bad character traits still haunt you, even when you're a new creation? That's the question 'Less of Me' looks into, showing Johan Toet as he tries to live a new life. See less
