He came from a bilingual working class and was critical of the petty-bourgeois society he lived in. Silván wrote poems about nature, criticism of capitalism and consumerism, love for friends and family, and about cats. Since the poems were first published in 1977, there has been great interest in both the poems and who Larry Silván was. Over the years, a kind of unofficial fan club has been created around Silván's writing. One of the members of this "fan club" is the literary scholar Erik Jonsson, who compiled the new edition of Silván's poems: Hope you are also at the lake i natt (Trombone förlag, 2022.) Jonsson talks about how he came into contact with Silván's poetry, how the work on the new edition progressed and who Larry Silván really was. Written by
