The film closely follows Danilo, an artist born in Perugia (Italy) who's work focuses on the concepts of time, presence, absence and the relation between the self and the other. The film aims at telling that particular moment between the liberation from an old work of art and the beginning of a new painting, searching for the artist's poetic both into the small details of his atelier and in the larger scope of his homeland's landscape. From the infinite darkness of the universe, to the manifestation of a light phenomenon, from the fire of rebirth that burns what was once discarded to the white of an empty canvas prepared for priming, fragments of reality are given birth from a single brushstroke.
