Five years later, the bar owner was acquitted by a jury in Bar-le-Duc to the applause of the public. The program is designed as a police investigation about a clear case of blind self-defense, in which journalist Pierre Benquet compares elements of the investigation file, articles from the time, and collects testimonies, 6 years after the shooting, from the protagonists of the case: Schneider and his wife, police officers, Silas Bastien's mother and friends who defend his memory and actions, and finally Schneider's lawyer, who believes that his client was the real victim.
