After Americo finds gold, the miners' spirits are lifted, and they name the creek after him. The team plans to head back up to "Americo Falls," hoping to find more gold. The prospectors spread out along the stream-bed, and Eric moves about, checking in with each of the men on his progress. Chad and Jack are annoyed with Eric's overbearing behavior and confront him. Chad stakes his 23 years of experience on his theory that further prospecting of the area is pointless, and Eric argues that his 35 years of geology say otherwise. Later, Jesse and Eric decide to move south, sampling the terrain as they go. Excited about the rocks they're finding, Jesse points out that the terrain is becoming more perilous. For Jesse, Josh and Eric, one wrong step means certain death for all. John and Eric decide to pan together and find a large garnet - John's best find of the trip! Meanwhile, Chad, Americo and Gator scout an area north of base camp and notice a monstrous bird circling overhead - a sea eagle. Written by Anonymous See less
