Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union 10 years ago, the standard of living in Moldova has deteriorated significantly. In order to find a way to earn a living, many young women have been lured to other countries in the hope of a job in a restaurant or in a night club, but for many of them it becomes just a dream. Instead, they are sold as sex slaves in what has become a rapidly growing international trade in young women. Galea, 16 years old, has seen all kinds of human humiliation, she herself has worked as a prostitute in Russia and was about to be sold to Italy. She has been raped by the policeman who was supposed to help her.
