But Puneeta, Nisha, Rinku and Pinky, from Kushinagar, UP, decided to not let the pandemic worsen the relentless problem of school dropout. The four girls began a school enrolment campaign during the pandemic to ensure no girls in their village would lose access to education. It's a campaign that sensitised 1500 people across 10 villages in Uttar Pradesh and engaged with 218 Mushahar families. Enabling 166 children (52 boys and 114 girls) to be enrolled in school.
