John's is about the day and Benita's about the night. Benita recites the poem of the week 'In a Dark Wood' and then makes a mouse with white cotton wool ball and sticks it on the picture with a piece of string for tail. And then makes owl eyes from two white buttons, a moon from yoghurt lid silver side out. Sticks moon on picture, also milk bottle tops for stars and when finished sings 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. John makes his picture with a shoebox lid for a house and he paints in windows, a tree made from paddle pop sticks and draws a spider. He recites 'Eencey Wincey Spider' then sings with actions. John then paints in Eencey's and the tree's shadows, which is followed by a film clip of the shadow puppet animation 'I Fed My Cat - Fiddle Dee Dee'. John sings "Have You Heard The Cat at Night". The story 'The Farmer in the Dell' is told by John and Benita and features a shadow screen and toys with a farmer played by Little Ted, joined by Jemima, Pip and Fido. After the story Benita sings "Old MacDonald" and we then see another film - this time showing children playing with their shadows. John plays a shadow game with Benita.
