I met Howard Kaylan when he and Mark Volman we're "Flo and Eddie" in the Mothers of Invention. Always a big fan of the Turtles, I was crazy about their voices, and one of my fave memories is when Howard had me stand on the side of the stage as they sang those gorgeous back-ups to Hungry Heart with Springsteen!.
