But it is also a canton that harbors natural treasures, much less known, including the wetland of international importance "The Geneva Rhone, Allandon and Laire Valleys", protected by the international RAMSAR convention. It is one of the 3 wetland sites of international importance in Switzerland along the Rhône. The other sites are the Gletsch glacier, at the source of the Rhone, and the Grangettes, at the mouth of the Rhone into Lake Geneva. Through sports activities, Ophélia and Yannick discover these places of natural well-being close to the city. Their meetings with experts allow them to discover the richness of the fauna and flora in wetlands, but also to understand the importance of safeguarding and restoring these places which are becoming rare, although they are essential for the well-being of humanity and of great value for urban areas.
