He must go hack "to Wall street" and she "to Europe." He thinks be is engaged to marry an heiress and she thinks she is to marry a millionaire. A last farewell, and they part. Imagine her surprise when she meets the millionaire behind the ribbon counter selling goods by the yard. And his surprise when he meets the heiress at Child's restaurant serving his breakfast.
