Sylvie (currently in a relationship crisis) has always dreamed of visiting Ireland in search of serenity, Shane (recently widowed) is seeking a break from the simplicity of life in his small mountain town. Their paths cross on a weekend getaway in coastal Ireland, where Sylvie finds a discarded sweater on the beach, then encounters Shane as he approaches on horseback at sunset, asking her to join him. A cheerful discourse follows over dinner and Sylvie agrees to spend the rest of her vacation with Shane in the mountains where their acquaintance blossoms into romance.
