With no background in sports, she learned to swim only three years before taking on one of the toughest swims in the world - a 22 hour and 34 minute test of pure endurance and willpower. The film tells Sigrún's story and her incredible endurance. She was also the first woman to swim the famous Eyjasund (from the Westmann Islands to the south coast of Iceland). In addition Sigrún has also swam the English Channel in a relay teams three times.
