The women are terrified at being locked up with Bev on the loose and no screws. The officers' replacements turn out to be social workers. Bev threatens to kill the next person to walk into the laundry, which turns out to be one of the social workers, but the women thwart her attempt. Dennis is so opposed to the strike he crosses the picket line and goes into work. Bev announces a raffle with a $5 prize. Marlene wins the first draw: Bobbie gets the "consolation prize." Phil Cleary, one of the social workers, tells Meg he knew Bobbie on the outside and her mother is dead.
