The chief of one of these bands was the famous scout, who is so well known that he does not require naming. In this film he is called to the rescue of an encampment, which has been stormed by the savages. The redmen succeed in capturing a young woman from the settlement, but her lover effects her rescue and together they flee, with the Indians in close pursuit. The Indians are rapidly overtaking the struggling couple when the famous ranger, fulfilling his noble mission, appears on the scene and the Indians are routed.
