In ...See moreAn ardent young suitor thinks that he has much to be thankful for when he wins "the only girl in the world." To celebrate, he invites the girl and her parents to Thanksgiving dinner, which is to be an engagement party as well. In anticipation of the great event, the lover takes a hand in the fattening of the turkey to be killed for the feast. While feeding the turkey, he drops the engagement ring which he has bought for his prospective bride, and the bird gobbles it up. From that point, the valuable turkey becomes a most elusive creature and the unfortunate lover experiences one misfortune after another in his effort to regain the ring.
