On her 18th birthday, Stella Michaels voluntarily checks herself into Bellevue Women's Psychiatric Ward. Stella has experienced more in her eighteen years than most have in a lifetime. Upon her arrival to the ward, Stella meets fellow patient, Dani Ellis. Both of them equally the same, yet equally different. The two form an undeniable bond. Having both suffered at the hands of others, they relate to each other on a level that no doctor or therapist ever could.
