Beginning of the journey in Kotor: Tiga meets Dolores Fabian and they begin to walk : they see the Entrance of the old town with the Venenitian lion sign and the date of the liberation de Kotor): then Saint-Tryphon's cathedral (built in ...See moreBeginning of the journey in Kotor: Tiga meets Dolores Fabian and they begin to walk : they see the Entrance of the old town with the Venenitian lion sign and the date of the liberation de Kotor): then Saint-Tryphon's cathedral (built in 1166): they pass through narrow streets (medieval town) , see a shop with Venetian masks and the house where the grandmother of Dolores lived.Then they travel to Perast, a baroque town and visit the Our Lady of the Rocks: Dolores tells the legend of his church and they admire the 68 paintings of Tripo Kokolja and the silver votive tablets.Then they have a moment of kayaking in the bay of Kotor.Dolores explains the origin of the word Montenegro (when the Venitians arrive in 1420 they saw mountains with black forests).Finally they meet Mila who was making traditional embroidery of Dobrota.After that Tiga travel to Petrovac and meets Catherine Coq (manager of Adriatrek and guesthouse owner): they travel to the new island of Bar and visit the market where they buy goat cheese, olives and almonds.After eating the snacks they begin the canyoning: abseiling in the canyon, jumps and swimming.Near the guesthouse there is abandoned village (which was destroyed by an earthquake), but Lazar Medigovic has a small restaurant and has prepared a typical dish (slow-cooked meat) and they drink a cherry liquor.On the next day Tiga says goodbye to Catherine and travels to Cetinje (a former capital of Montenegro).She meets there Igor Rudovic who shows her King Nikola's Museum, they walk through the typical streets and meet the dance group of Igor: in the place of the castle Igor and the group dance a traditional dance of Montenegro.After that Tiga travels to Berane where she meets Vesna Pajnovic (a professor English language) and Sanja Kovacevic (an emergency doctor) who were collecting pieces of wool, onion skins and beets and they travel to a mountain village: Vesna and Sanja help to a group of women to dye the wool with natural products ,to weave and to knit the wool (woolen animals that are sold by internet and give an income to the women). Later Tiga is at the Skadar lake: Andrija Dabanovic has a boat and the navigate on the lake (water lilies, pelicans and cormorants).In a island Tiga visit an Orthodox monastery : the sister shows her the chapel with its nice paintings.Then Andrija and Tiga meets the fisherman Vesko Vucerakovic and his family (the brother Vito, the spouse Vida, the son Vuk and the sister-in-law Marina), Vesko prepares fishes and they will have a great meal: a great moment of friendliness. Besides we see zooms about the new job opportunities in the tourism, about the vineyard of Montenegro, about the multicultural town of Ulcinj (the market, the burek and the olive oil), about the mountains climbers and the speleologists discovering their country), about the alpine pastures in the National Park of Durmitor), about the Tara river (border between Bosnia and Montenegro) and the Yugoslavia nostalgia.
