Despite his many kindhearted attempts to fit in and be a part of village life and the popular monkey rock band, Sukari's numerous adventures in overcoming his low self-esteem, struggling with his identity, and the prejudice of the village's monkeys, are filled with many surprises. The enchanted fun-filled characters, both friend and foe alike, experience the joys of village life from festivals, dancing, music, and love to the intrigues of kidnapping, betrayal, heartbreak, destruction, rescues, secrets, the exodus to safety, where the unlikely hero comes into play during this animated musical filled with many original children's songs (written by Nanette Fenton and Mark Gray) that reach into the hearts and minds of both children and adults with many positive messages. The strong theme of this story is: "It's not what's on the outside that counts, but what's on the inside."
