She's based her dream around a faded photograph of the father she's never met. All she knows is that she was the product of a whirlwind romance and that he was a renowned Australian jackaroo. Independent and headstrong, she wants to be just like him. Despite a happy life in New Zealand, she's always felt like something was missing - a sense of where she truly came from. When Paperbark Crossing, a residential agricultural school in Australia, opens its doors to international students for the first time, Charlie sees it as her chance to pursue her dream and search for her Dad. Charlie applies without telling her mum, and surprisingly, when the acceptance letter arrives, Charlie's mum agrees to let her daughter embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
