Beginning of the journey in Prague: Raphaël arrives at the guesthouse " Famille Katarina" managed by Katarina Jenicek.Then he goes to the astronomical clock of Prague (build in 1410): the oldest astronomical clock still in ...See moreBeginning of the journey in Prague: Raphaël arrives at the guesthouse " Famille Katarina" managed by Katarina Jenicek.Then he goes to the astronomical clock of Prague (build in 1410): the oldest astronomical clock still in operation.Raphaël meets then Petr Skala, the clock-maker who explains him the story of the monument and they have a walk to the Charles Bridge.Later Raphaël goes to the hill of Petrin where he meets Dagmar Sormova, a beekeeper who shows to young Czech boys and girls how to behave with bees: they collect and taste honey.Raphaël follow his discovery of Prague going to the Prague Castle terrace and through the old town where he sees a cubist building build in 1911.Many old building have been restored after 1989.On the next day Raphaël takes the underground and meets in the Stvanice Island Blandine Berniel (who lives in Prague since 2006). they drink a beer and then go to the workshop of Vitek Jezec (Rekola Association: shared bicycles), they make a bike tour , visit a market, buy duck terrine, follow a bike path and then they see a pianist playing music and the "Dancing" House " Then Raphaël travels by train to the "Ceské Svycarstvo" , the Swiss Bohemia (because Adrian Zingg and Anton Graff , two Swiss painters enjoys so much this place), the area belongs to the Elbe sandstone Mountains : he meet there Vaclav Sojka, a former forester and now photographer and they have a walk through the forest, looking at the cliffs and visit an old mill in middle of the forest (Natalia Belisova speaks with him about the restoration of the mill).Then Raphaël has a surprise for Vaclav: a hot balloon ride over the Swiss Bohemia..On the next day Raphaël takes breakfast at Katarina's guesthouse and they begin a walk through Prague, they meet Pavel Trulha ,a puppeteer who talks about the renewal of the puppet theaters, later Raphaël meet Véronique Louvel and Cédric Louvel in the neighborhood of Holesovice, they are in a community garden (Prazelenina Association) where the members come with their children and grow tomatoes, strawberries and herbs.Then Raphaël and Véronique go to a market and see a typical cubist building.Then Raphaël goes to a cultural center where people listen to Moravian traditional music and have a nice dancing moment. Besides we see zooms about the Charles Bridge (the painter, the guide, the bridge Band), about the Bohemian glass (visit of the Moser shop, Petr Spatina the glasses musician), about the vineyards of Prague (12 hectares producing about 45.000 liters of wine each year ), about the vineyard of Melnik (Charles IV introducing Pinot noir, the Harvest celebrations), about the mountain bikes ride in the Giant Mountains and and the rock climbing in the Climbing Paradise, about the cinema and Prague (segway tours organized by René Menezes, the German director Karola Meeder filming in Prague, the Barrandov studios and the young director Matias Trnka ) and about the Rom community in Prague (the singer Gejza Bendig, the Gypsy-hip-hop singer Gypsy Cz, the neighborhood of Zizkov with its social center, the relationships of the Roms with the Czech people).
