Since her earnings from jewelry design was the only actual income for her and her husband, they are broke. Her frenemy Vana Dagga alternates between worrying about her, taunting her, and trying to convince Nana to sell her apartment and move out of their apartment building. The two women give birth in the same clinic at the same time. Vana because she can actually afford the medical bills, and Nana because her party girl bestie Haroulita is currently one of the clinic's nurses and Haroulita's boyfriend is the attending physician. The two women give birth to two sets of fraternal twins, each a boy and a girl. Haroulita and another nurse have trouble telling the newborns apart, but decide against telling the parents about this problem. The story skips ahead several years, with all four kids being grade school children. It is increasingly obvious that the kids do not resemble their supposed parents. Dionisis' supposed son is a vandal, a petty thief, and an amateur musician (like Timos) with a side-career in selling stolen goods to classmates. Vana's supposed daughter is a streetwise redhead (like Nana) who has already started seducing her male classmates. Timos' supposed son is an aspiring lawyer who is both greedy and miserly (like Dionisis). Nana's supposed daughter is a brunette fashionista who adores dogs (like Vana). After asking Haroulita about the possible mix at birth, the four adults decide to collectively act as parents to all four of the kids. They also decide to merge their neighboring apartments to a single apartment covering their entire floor of the building. Since they were already regularly present in both apartments for years, the wall between had become pointless. Written by Dimos I See less
