Real Maravilloso feature documentary film will be dedicated to the memory of Alejo Carpentier while trying to understand and decipher the very notion of the term Magical Realism / Real Maravilloso. The film stands there. Our first trip to Cuba - 4 to 12 December 2016- we arrived on the day of the cremation of Fidel in Santiago and it became clear to us that this film will lead us to another dimension, that of its homeric sovereignty in the context of Real Maravilloso. Thus, we ask ourselves the following question: what is the disposition of mind that allows an exceptional author to marry the marvelous to reality? Is this disposition of mind found in the daily life of the Cuban people? It is in fact this dichotomy that we will try to demonstrate in our film: the successful and fruitful marriage between reality and marvelous. On the other hand, we also want to confirm that we are poles apart from any political interest. Our film is and will remain a film about art, literature and music. Key interviews were conducted key figures of the Cuban artistic and cultural world today to help us to enter the real and wonderful world of this artistic-philosophical thought and take us, through the world of Santeria, to the efforts of the Revolution, that led to the liberation and intellectual development of Cubania.
