Consumed by greed, La Mala tried to steal the gold and kill the natives, but La Buena stopped her and left her to die in the desert. The natives presented La Buena with a silver compass to lead her back to the city of gold. La Mala survived and vowed to seek vengeance. The struggle continues to this day. See less
