This was aimed to rapidly increase the birth rate, but its "side effect" was tens of thousands of unwanted children every year who went to orphanages. Violence, hunger, and poverty are memories of nearly 2 million people that lived in these orphanages. Today, their childhood experiences still hinder their normal lives. Kulczyk Foundation supported the renovation of a Casa Pinocchio children's home in Romania, inhabited by 32 children.
