The film follows the life of Cathrine, who is a 19-year-old student living in a small town in England. Peter is Cathrine's father and also a devout Catholic who as a vicar spreads God's will to the worshipers. However, her father's orthodox mindset prevents Cathrine from exploring her freedom as a teenager, but, as an obedient daughter, she causes no trouble to her parents and keeps her social life hidden. One day, a horrific incident dictates the rest of Cathrine's life as she tries to heal from the bruises, but the lack of support from her family and societal pressure leads her to one choice of sacrificing either her life or her family.
