Ian, the protagonist in this story has been unemployed for some time. He has trouble finding his way in this modern day life of digital distractions and social media comparison with others. His wife Rachel, is a career woman who is the provider of the household. Although he is being supported by his significant other, he cannot remove his idea of failure to what he is today. Feeling helpless and unwanted, he becomes progressively paranoid and even delusional each day. His inner dialogue becomes negative and continuously dismissive as the story progress. Finally, he takes his own life as he reaches the climax of his psychological limitation by leaping off of rooftop of his apartment building.
