For directors, beyond the genre and action film, Survival is an opportunity, unexpected in a very popular genre, to approach philosophical and existential questions. Indeed, the direct and frontal confrontation of a group of men with the savagery of nature, brings each person back to their nature as a fragile and vulnerable animal and to considerations as primary as survival.
