In the meantime Mallika conceives and is subjected to insult and torture from the society. She runs away from the neighborhood. Soumitra convinces his parents and comes to take Mallika bout does not find her there. He sees a dead body with the same ring that Mallika wore and assumes her to be dead. He remarries but becomes a widower soon. In the meantime Mallika gives birth to a baby boy and names him Soumya.
